Even though blogger, Jessica Kirby travels to amazing locations around the world and has called two major fashion destinations home, she decided to make her base in Newport, Rhode Island. Living in one of America’s most charming coastal towns definitely provides blog worthy photo shoots, and it’s clear Jessica takes full advantage. -What is the one thing you could go back and tell your teenage self? 

Don’t sweat the small stuff.

-What your hopes/future plans for your blog?

I want my site to be a place my readers and followers rely on for style inspiration, travel ideas and advice and unique lifestyle content that’s aspirational and relatable.

-What trend do you hope stays around forever or makes a comeback?

I will forever love skinny jeans.

-Who is your favorite social media personality?

I’m a huge fan of Amy Stone (@amy_stone). She has an incredible eye and her content is always so beautiful and well curated.

-Whats the coolest beauty/fashion advice you’ve been given recently? 

I watched the documentary called Iris about Iris Apfel recently. Everything she said in that film really resonated with me. Her approach to style and to life is to do what makes you happy. Wear what makes you feel good. Don’t play by the rules. I really believe in wearing what makes you happy and feel confident.

-What is one thing that people would be surprised to hear?

I played on the men’s hockey team in high school.

-Where are the cool places to hang/party in Newport?

In the summer I am ALWAYS at the beach or somewhere swimming. I love to get a drink (margarita) at Perro Salado outside on the patio or sit outside in the Wharf at the Black Pearl.

-Last but not least, any UsTrendy designers/looks you’re really digging at the moment?

I’m in vacation/spring mode right now so I love this white lace playsuit and this cutout one piece.
