This is a civil war period correct gown.
The bodice is made of green lace over green satin, with satin ribbon trim. The bodice is fully boned, and hooks up the back, with a satin chemisette and undersleeves made of the same satin.
The Skirt is an under skirt and over skirt. The under skirt is made of satin, with a tapestry ruffle. The over skirt is made of the same all over lace as the bodice. The over skirt has chevrons which made the sleeves of the bodice, and has the same ribbon trim as the bodice.
The skirt has cartridge pleats of the period and an attached ribbon and bow belt.
This dress is a simplicity size 22.
