This is a brand new, hand made, period correct civil war ball gown. It is made of gingham taffeta, with solid taffeta binding and bias around the fully boned and lined top, and the tabs on the skirt.
The sleeves, neckline, shoulder straps and skirt tabs are all edged with 3â beaded trim. The top has drawstring 3â lace with insert at the neck the same lace is used on the gathered, off the shoulder sleeves. It has full lacing up the back with rattail cording and is made to be worn over a corset and full hooped slip.
This is a Simplicity size 18 with a finished bust measurement of 40/42â and waist measurement of 32/34â.
I have made three of these gowns, there is one in yellow, one in peach and one in blue. Please specify preferred color when ordering.
