A trip to the incredible island of Cyprus would not be complete without visit one of it’s pristine beaches. For our trip we decided to head to Governers Beach. I have written many times about the goddess Venus (Aphrodite in Greek mythology) and I still find it mystifying that this mythological being rose from the sea and has been referenced throughout life as we know it. Strolling down the beach I tried to imagine amongst bronzing beauties and God-like Greek men this mythological creature emerging from the sea. As a child I had a dress with the print of the famous Botticelli painting which depicted Venus standing peacefully on a scallop shell. This is exactly how I imagined her. Now, I imagine the same thing but at this point, she’s wearing the “Venus Beach Angel” Necklace that she inspired! Perfect for a beach wedding or just channeling your inner-Venus.
Four strands of seed beads in translucent and sugar-white tones join with a silver hammered clasp. Iridescent potato pearls, marquis pearl beads and mother of pearl tumbled square beads and strung to drape around the neck. Two sand dollar beads are included on the necklace giving you the feeling that you’ve strolled down the beach and found treasures. The earrings match the necklace perfectly with iridescent potato pearls as well as translucent and sugar-toned seed beads.
