TOP THREE AT OXFORD FASHION CAMPUS!
June 13, 2010 at 05:53 PM
Since the premier of SAKINA ALI'S first collection at OXFORD FASHION CAMPUS 2010, in their first inaugural, it has been a huge success!! for the organisation and for SAKINA to be given the opportunity to show off her first capsule collection of 17 pieces, as well an 18th piece, that was the competition dress.
A collection that was shown alongside Armani, Ralph Lauren and Dior pieces
The show was kick started with her vintage collection, and as a true vintage visionary the collection went back in time, from the 80's, the 70's, 60's, 50's and the 40's. The beautiful models, hit the runway with the classic bounce of Stevie Wonder's Superstitious, that was remixed for the audience's pleasure! Her clothes were shown to have a real vintage edge! yet, wearable for a huge age range! The latter part of the show for the 50'and 40's, Etta James' At last, brought a smile to the audience, when a hooded model appeared, with only red lips showing, and in true hollywood glamour, there was revealed a Marilyn Monroe lookalike pouting and blowing kisses to the Audience!
For the design competition, there were 20 or so entries to win the top three slots, out of those 20 SAKINA made it to the final 5 designers for the competition. From there, we had a only three places for 1st, 2nd and 3rd,
at third place, to be announced as being a part of the top three, a cheer ensued!
Now you can see her full collection on-line, and also be able to wear such exclusively made pieces, all items from the show are ready for purchase, so get your wallets out, and grab yourself, something that will be a big label for the future, while you have the chance!
