If you're into all things ecological and looking for an alternative way to do things that doesn't have a negative impact on our environment, then you are aware of the many things that people and companies can do to acheive that. But if you're not or if you want to know how we are committed to sustainable design, check out the list of just some of the ways that we are making it happen at QARAMAT.We strive to strike a balance between keeping our collection eco-friendly but at the same time affordable. There are so many things that we want to do to take our collections to the next level, but they're just not feasible or widely available right now and if we were to use them, it would result in a very expensive garment.So as our company grows, we implement as much as we can so that we can maintain that equilibrium. What is also really important to us is keeping ourselves transparent so that you know how we do things here and so that you can feel good about what you purchase.

1. We are constantly researching for ways to produce our collections in the most sustainable way possible.

2. We are members of different leading Ethical Fashion organizations and networks so that we can keep ourselves up-to-date on the newest methods and technologies available that can make the way we make our collections less harmful for you and the environment and to also network with those that uphold ethical standards.

3. We use certified organic and natural fabrics for most of our collections and we intend to increase that over time. Some of our fabrics we bought from warehouse overstock so that these perfectly good fabrics don't end up in a landfill.

4. We try to use as many materials and techniques that are made by hand to preserve that beautiful dying tradition.

5. Almost all of our packaging is recyclable/and or reusable and we are constantly on the lookout for better packaging that doesn´t have a negative impact on our environment.

6. We work locally in Spain and with small independent workshops.

7. In our studio we save energy by turning off lights and other machines that aren't in use. We only use certified eco-friendly cleaning supplies and paper products. Everything that can be recycled at our studio is recycled or reused. And leftover scraps from the fabric cuttings are also reused as much as possible.

8. With everything mentioned above, we apply it to the creative way that we design, creating pieces that are unique. We also  cut our patterns so that they don't waste as much fabric.

9. Since my husband and I are vegans, we have a commitment to not use any animal skins or fur in our collections.
