Free to Be You and Me
Why be a slave to the constructs of your clothes when you could have your clothes designed to cater to your individual lifestyle and body type?
This concept is the inspiration for a line of clothing just hitting the local SF fashion scene. The fashionable frocks from modistasf mirror the modern femme spirit: we want the aesthetics of style, femininity and elegance complemented with the practical constructs of functionality, comfort and versatility.
No need for compromise
Savvy and progressive design maven, Marissa Jacobe, has created a line of clothing that does it all: the tops are elegant, feminine and sexy for an evening out, yet also ideal paired with your fave jeans and sneakers for morning coffee on a lazy Saturday morning.
“I designed clothes for the busy woman who wants to look good, feel good and be able to go from day to evening wear without skipping a beat.” Busy professionals themselves, Jacobe and business partner, Linda Tam, represent their target market and regularly incorporate the pieces into their daily wear.
Fashionista Jacobe knew she was on to something when the tops were being requested via word-of-mouth and causing a resounding and enthusiastic buzz well before their official launch. To underscore her vision for the line, all models on the modistasf web site are hip, gorgeous “real” women who showcase how the clothing conforms to their assets and styles rather than vice versa. The styles were bestowed with the names of Jacobe’s gal buddies.
