Press release of the russian fashion shows "RUSSIAN DESCENT"

"RUSSIAN DESCENT" - a creative group of Russian fashion designers, models and musicians. Basis of the
team consists of young designers from St. Petersburg: Anna Fedorova, Olesya Borisova, Oksana Pastukhova,
Alexei Sorokin, Julia Hohlacheva, Varvara Kuznetsova. Designers from other cities of Russia:
Polina Kulikova (Togliatti), Anastasia Ponomareva, Irina Gorlyakovsky (Omsk).
The participants of the project are also well-known Russian-speaking fashion designers, such as Larisa
Kats (Netherlands).
DJs: duo Aurosonic, Andrey Vakulenko (from the top 10 of Russian DJs in 2008).

Conception of the shows is in participation of only  Russians and Russian-speaking participants:
designers with their collections, models, dj and vj, make-up artists.
This will create a unique atmosphere of a progressive Russian art - clothing, audio, video, makeup. All
of this, viewers will see as a part of modern Russia, original, and at the same time running in the
context of global trends in art. Perhaps someone wouldn't see a new Malevich or Kandinsky, but at least
the inspiration of a young designers, the energy of a new boys and girls-models, live sound and creative
video.

The innovation of the project is in fact, what thik kind of group have not yet been. Usually fashion
designers are exhibiting by individually way, especially abroad, in reality a big competition.

In addition to potential sponsors, the project is attractive especially for young designers wanting to
show themselves and their collection to the fashion society, to receive support for the creation of the
new collections. The group consists of 6 - 10 permanent designers, each with 1-2 collection of costumes.
During the tour a slight rotation of the participants is possible for the discovery of new talent and
balancing on the fashion trends wave. The project is designed to actively touring around the world within
weeks of fashion, design and art and music festivals, national holidays, as a part ofpresentation of mass
entertainment (large hotels, restaurants, casinos, shopping and entertainment centers) over the next few
years.

Earlier, a group made shows only in St. Petersburg as a part of the local events. So it is - an
international pilot project, but has already received great encouragement from people who want to
cooperate with. At this time, negotiations on participation in Fashion Week in the United Arab Emirates
(May-June 2009), France, Japan (2009), and several other countries are continuing.
