How to sell on UsTrendy – Basic Tips for Sellers

How do I upload my first item on UsTrendy?

It’s great that you have decided to upload your exclusive designs in our global marketplace, and engage with thousands of our indie fashion shoppers who come here every week looking for something exclusive to fill their wardrobe. Uploading your exclusive designs on UsTrendy is quite straight-forward and can be done in just few minutes. Let us show you how easy it is to upload your first item on UsTrendy marketplace.

In order to upload your first item on UsTrendy, you need to create an account first.
Once your account is created, you would be redirected to a 5 step Item Listing Wizard which will ask you the following information about your merchandise:

  • Step 1: - Select the Gender, Category, Fit, Genre and Color for your item. Besides that, provide atleast 5 relevant searchable keywords against your item. Don’t forget to include the name of the category in which your item is going to be merchandised.
  • Step 2: - Enter the Product Title, Description, Size, Material, Washing Instructions, Shipping Cost, Return Policy and Stock Availability of your item.
  • Step 3: - Enter the Price and Shipping Origin of your item.
  • Step 4: - Upload the Main Image of your item along with atleast 2-3 alternate views.
  • Step 5: - Review your item details before uploading on the marketplace. If you want to save your item settings for future upload, click on “No, Please keep this item inactive” else, simply click on “Yes, Publish to the store now”. This would make your item LIVE on the marketplace with-in few minutes.
Login and click Store. You can now select Start
Selling to launch the "Product Upload Assistant".

The assistant will guide you through the
process of adding information, images and pricing.
To step 3
Finally, review your product and if you’re ahppy with the results, just by
clicking on "Yes, publish to the store now", your item will get listed.

Do I have to register on UsTrendy to sell my items?

Yes, you have to create an account first before you start showcasing your catalog on our marketplace. The Account Creation process on UsTrendy is quite straightforward and takes hardly couple of minutes.

Who can sell on UsTrendy?

UsTrendy Marketplace is facilitating, a global platform to Indie Fashion Designers spread across the world to showcase their exclusive designs to our thousands of valuable customers. We also give opportunity to Models, Artists and other Sellers, who have a passion for Indie Fashion Industry and carry an exclusive product line for our valuable customers.

How much does it cost to sell on UsTrendy?

Unlike other marketplaces, we do not charge our designers or sellers any setup fee, listing fee or any recurring store maintenance fee. We make our commission when you make a sale, and that’s quite fair. Currently, our commission rate is flat 10% besides, you pay 5% to PayPal.

It is free to list and free to post items. We make a commission when you make a sale.

In case, UsTrendy is producing your products then, we charge as per following:

Cost of Production 30%
Cargo/Tariff 5%
Royalty to the Designer 25%
PayPal 5%
UsTrendy Commission 35%

How will I get paid?

We expect all our Indie Fashion Designers to have an active PayPal account. Using which, we transfer the sales proceeds of our designers.

How do I list an item for sale?

During holiday season, majority of our Indie Fashion Designers, offer a decent discount on their exclusive designs to their valuable buyers, and help them filling their wardrobes. If you have an item on the marketplace that you want to offer at a discounted rate then, you can go the Designer Store Admin, and navigate to the “Run a Sale” section which allows you to move your items under SALE section and offer a desirable discount.

Can I upload my items in bulk?

Unfortunately, we do not offer any BULK UPLOADER tool to our designers during item listing process but, we are working on it and in next few months, both our existing and new designers would be able to bulk upload their merchandise.

How do I sell an item that I’ve previously uploaded photos for?

During the item listing process, we allow our designers to save their changes so; please feel free to save as many items in your account for later uploads. In future, if you decide to upload your items, you can simply go to the “Manage Inventory” section under Designer Store Admin area, and just mark those items for pushing to production. With-in few minutes, your items would go LIVE on our marketplace.

Do I have an option to sell to international buyers?

Absolutely!! We allow our Indie Fashion Designers to market their products across the world to our thousands of valuable indie fashion shoppers. During the checkout process, we offer an exhaustive list of countries to choose from to our shoppers.

Can I upload my portfolio on UsTrendy?

Yes, you can upload your exclusive portfolio on UsTrendy by going in to “Portfolio” section under “Designer Store Admin” area. This allows you to showcase your work without selling it.

Can I view all the transactions happened in my store?

At UsTrendy, we maintain complete transparency with our designers and shoppers, and give them appropriate tools to gauge their performance and buying history. Being an UsTrendy seller, you have access to all the historical transactions made between you and the UsTrendy buyers, and you can easily view them by going in to “My Store Transactions” section under “Designer Store Admin” area.

Can my buyers share their valuable feedback with me?

Yes. We allow our buyers to share their valuable feedback with the designers and create opportunity for them to improvise on their designs and service offering. In order to view the feedback from your buyers, you can go to the “Feedback/Purchased” section under “Designer Store Admin” area.
