I recently posted on my blog, http://www.weesweet.blogspot.com/ , some pages from our press kits for Frost.  Since this is my first go at it, I could really use some constructive feedback on what I should/shouldn't include and the overall aesthetic of the package.  Sorry to have to redirect people to my personal blog, but until I figure out how to upload pics to my Us Trendy blog (which correct me if I'm wrong but we can't do) then I guess this is how it has to be.  So yeah, if you get a chance check out our press kit samples and let me know what you think by leaving a comment here or on wee sweet marie.  Thanks!

A big hello to everyone here!  We are Frost Collections, creating jewelry and art inspired by nature.

Here's a brief description of who we are and what we do.

Mission

We are committed to creating high quality work that is beautiful and unique.  We aim to design for people who want an alternative to mass produced commercial pieces and who appreciate something that is handmade by the artist.  We focus on designs that buck the trend and that stay true to our passion for great art.

Inspiration

Our work is heavily influenced by the beauty of the natural world.  Trees, birds and all their beauty have a special place in our hearts.  Even something as simple as a beach pebble can provide the perfect muse.  Living in British Columbia supplies a never ending amount of inspiration but we draw plenty from our world travels as well.  In our collections you’ll find work infused with a touch of the rainforest, the beaches of Costa Rica and the villages of the Greek Islands.  With eyes wide open to new experiences we are able to evolve our ideas and keep our collections fresh and inspired.

Designers

Best friends Marie Wyatt and Kas Shield launched Frost Collections together in the spring of 2007.  Both have backgrounds in art and design and have been passionate about it since childhood.  Marie is a professional artist and animator with more than 10 years of experience in the television/film and video game industry.  She currently works for a local video game developer and relishes every opportunity to create with her hands and not just the computer.  Kas is an entrepreneur who owns a successful interior design company and comes from a family of talented artists.  She is very committed to the environment and works hard contributing to various non-profit causes.                                                                                                                             Though they both enjoy amazing careers, sometimes creativity spills over and Frost is the result of their love for making beautiful things.  This has been a great opportunity to put their active imaginations together and have lots of fun!
