What is your inspiration for this collection?
Our inspiration comes from our love of bohemian pieces and elements from the 60s as well as 40's style headbands worn across the forehead. We also love to think of our headband designs as fancy handmade crowns for our ladies!

A colorful solid cardigan, thrift-shopped golden bracelets, and a stretchy waist belt.
What is your favorite part about being a fashion designer?
Being a fashion designer to us is very much being an artist: we are passionate about color and patterns as much as a traditional painter--to create art is to inspire. To be inspired, you must surround yourself with color and pattern, shape and form -- and this is what we love the most: creating & being inspired.
What drove you to choose fashion design and specifically starting your own design?
Kristy ("Lady Kay" the daughter of the mother ("Lady Di") and daughter team) started asking for crocheted headband designs, always with a new request for pattern and shapes (flowers, etc.) until the designs we wore got more attention from friends and acquaintances we'd meet .. so we started Lady Like Accessories with the desire to share the designs we loved with people who loved them too!
What are you most excited to wear this season?
A bright mustard cardigan and vintage-inspired brown oxfords.
Favorite fashion decade:
1950s
What has prepared you to enter the world as a fashion designer?
With a background in fine art and graphic and web design, our mother and daughter team has a wealth of knowledge in the ways of art: color, pattern, shape, purpose, intentionality, and design.

Zooey Deschanel
One thing you couldn't live without:
My macbook -- I do absolutely everything on it: handling customer orders, posting new designs, blogging, blog reading, keeping up with friends and family when I'm traveling, designing banners, emailing, searching for new colors for the coming season's headband designs, etc!
