What is your inspiration for this collection?
I find inspiration in music, film, art, haute couture, costumes, and photography. Andy Warhol is a big influence, I love Madonna, Helmut Newton changed the fashion editorial forever, and Dolce and Gabbana continue to inspire. I find a bold, defined, striking silhouette attractive on every woman. Bombshells of the past like Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren, and Elizabeth Taylor are a joy to look at and feel fresh, even now. I keep coming back to the same themes a lot: fantasy, cocktail parties, the disco era, contrasts, symbols, romance, and whimsy.
What has prepared you to enter the world as a fashion designer?
Since being a very young child I have been in love with fashion. I feel like I have been researching the industry since I was 11! I went to college for visual art with photography as a focus, and I feel like those parts of my education prepared me to be very critical of balance, color, and presentation. My real preparation has been my drive to succeed coupled with a very defined vision :-)

What is your favorite part about being a Fashion Designer?
I love that I can set my own hours, work from home, satisfy my creativity, and have complete control over the final product!
