What drove you to choose fashion design?

I grew up watching my Mom, puts fabric together, and will make these beautiful dresses out of it for me and my sisters...I remember her favorite quote was, I want you girls to look different from all these other kids...I was born and raised in this business, and I fell more in love with it as I was growing older...I started my own line, to share my knowledge and educate folks on how to dress for less and still look fabulous..

Describe your style:

My style is a bit different, I love form fitted dresses, high heels..pretty much being sexy at all times lol..I love to show off my curves, my back bone, anything that will bring out my features more...during summer, I love my long maxi dresses, big sun glasses, and lots of accessories.

Favorite Fashion Decade:

I love the 70s, the tight outfits and big hair styles..that was the thing lol..

One thing you couldn't live without:

I will have to say, my sun glasses

Favorite Celebrity Fashion Icon:

I will have to say Beyonce.

Perfect night on the town outfit:

That will be, a print mini metallic dress, strapless, form fitting, with a "V" shape at the back..dress it up with a 6"inch heels...and rock the city of New York lol...

What are other activities you enjoy besides design?

I say Cooking, since I may cook once every three month lol..but I love it, for some reason. I enjoy, reading, working out, and swim

What do you wish people understood about being in the fashion industry?

I wish people could understand the work and effort we designers put into create an outfit. it may look simple and easy, but is a lot of hard work...I want us as designer to be more respected, meaning just because you might not like my style, but learn to be more considerate, as we are all human ..

What is some advice that you would give to aspiring independent designers?

Don't give up, is hard business to get into, but you will make it by the end of the day, keep working harder, do not lose your originality, and stay truth to yourself...

What is your favorite part about being a designer?

My favorite part of being a Designer, is expressing my feelings in every piece of clothing I create...I love the aftermath, of cutting and sewing lol...
