the wrist ouchies are gone...who knew that continued forced repetitive action would have a reverse effect? hmmm.

perhaps i have scarred myself for the long run, but for now, the wrist ouchies are gone and I can continue working.

Last night I felt as though i was back in university. I worked from 7pm until 6am...got 4 hours of sleep and woke up and worked my day job (which evidently, i am still doing as I type this...small break)  what an insane night.  Deadlines are CRAZY!! I enlisted the help of my dear friend "Koocoo" and my adorable boyfriend "Karl" (as they shall be referred to going forward) to help me with tasks such as sewing labels, cutting felt backings, fusing said felt backing and stitching rings to felt bases while i made...you guessed it...more roses! But...i'm almost done...an honest 4 more hours of work and i'll be ready to put this latest order to rest!

 Speaking of University, yesterday I had the great opportunity to return to my alma matar and be 1 of 3 designers featured in a panel discussing my business, ups and downs, trials and tribulations to first year students...ohmi...that was 7 years ago for me...eep!

it was a great opportunity and I believe that I have by chance found myself an intern! sorry K & K, the days of sewing and stitching are over for you....or so we will see.

 okay...back to the 9-5!

so...

i have wrist ouchies.

yes....wrist ouchies....as my dear friend karen so beautifully puts it.

In the past 4 days I have made a total of 60 zippered roses for rings and headbands.  Apparently this type of repetitive activity tends to cause wrist ouchies...or tendenitious (sp)

but I keep on trucking....about 20 more to go...big bloody order!! Big deadline.

will post pics when they are done.

today is one of those days where i just want to sit in bed, take out a needle and thread and create, create, create!  So many orders to fill, where will I find the time!

 Some exciting news about Feathered....

we are having a photoshoot in a months' time to debut the new Fall (i know...a bit late but i've been busy!) winter collection...and it's going to be STUNNING!!! Stunning I tell you! really...I do tell you!  My dear friend Christy is going to be punk rocking it up and we are having a fabulous canadian photographer capture all the excitment and can not wait to share it all with you!

some more exciting news....we are going to be having a CHRISTMAS SALE!!! check back for great deals in the next few weeks...some exceptions apply, like brand new zippered rose rings and zippered rose headbands not included, nor is bridal...but really...there are some GREAT sales on Feathered goodness!!
