The Art of Travel

The Spring/Summer 2010 Fashion Show of Louis Vuitton was a beautiful vision of lovely travel accompaniments for your next vacation. While I was not able to view the show for myself at Paris Fashion Week, I watched the entire presentation on the brand's Facebook Fan Page for what's coming up for spring. I saw cross-body bags and satchels in pretty seasonal shades, such as purple and spring green, and bucket bags and knapsacks in hues of light blue on models wearing rich embroideries and gingham prints come down the runway.
The handbags were designed in a way to elicit fun times on the rail, and made me long for a wonderful spring getaway throughout Europe! Details such as multiple tassels and intricate patchwork design embellished the bags. I also liked that Creative Director Marc Jacobs created bags with longer straps and double arm handles, which make for easy transport. The collection also showcased the new footwear line from Vuitton. The look of clogs, moccassins and loafers provide a much-welcomed relief from the teetering heels from previous seasons. While the bags are perfect for carrying your essentials, such as your passport and still leaves enough room for souvenirs, should the moment strike you, the shoes will be comfortable enough for the traveler to enjoy their endless global visits!
