Kristin Brady was born in Orange, California. When she was three years old, she chose her own wardrobe. By the time she was five, she made “Fashion Books” that were filled with her colorful and detailed sketches. Her drawings were arranged and sequenced in such a manner that it was obvious that she possessed an understanding of composition that was far beyond her years.

During her early childhood, Kristin’s family spent a few years in Tennessee, where she spent a great deal of time with her beloved grandmother. Kristin learned to appreciate her grandmother’s sense of classic style, along with her appreciation of antiques, classic cinema, vintage fibers and collectibles.

Kristin’s family returned to California, and when she was twelve she began researching the evolutionary decades of fashion.  Her research included studying the lives of Chanel, Versace, Dior, Yamamoto and Pucci. She attended the Arts Technology Academy at her high school in Cerritos, California, where she studied fine arts with a focus on fashion design. She entered a design contest for Poleci and won.  Her design was produced, and she was given an internship with the company.

Throughout college, Kristin worked in a women’s boutique where she learned the fundamentals of design and the business aspects of the fashion industry. During this time, she also directed three fashion shows and subsequently worked for The Crashious Roadside Room as an apprentice designer.

Kristin continued with fashion school, but in 2008 she decided to break from college and design on her own line, KTG. After a very successful solo show, she began to create her next “Fine Art Collection.” A fashion magazine described the KTG line as “pushing the edge of sexy.” Kristin’s response was, “Sexy to me is the true being of each woman. If I am seen as pushing the edge, cool, just know that in reality I am pulling from what already exists.

Kristin views fashion as fine art; she plans to extend her artistic vision globally. You may wonder, “What does KTG stand for? It’s simple. Kristin the Great!
