German-American fashion designer Erika Hendrix finds inspiration everywhere. She explains, “Everyday life inspires me the most. Random people in the street, or even architecture, is very inspiring.”

Erika loves fashion design because it enables her to make people look and feel beautiful. She acknowledges that the toughest obstacle in becoming a fashion designer is “getting your name out there.” Her advice to aspiring fashion designers is, “Just do it and don’t give up, no matter how hard it seems. It will pay out in the end!”

Based in Germany, Erika began designing fashion in 2002 with a focus on shirt design. She began designing for her own independent fashion label in 2005, and shortly afterwards, her shirts became popular throughout Germany. Since then, she has expanded to a full line, with dresses, skirts, sweaters, jackets, shorts, accessories and jewelry. Erika also designs shirts for men. She opened her store, Erika Hendrix, earlier this year in Mannheim, Germany. Her favorite shopping venue? Erika Hendrix, of course!

Erika’s unique flair for fashion design is undeniably evident in her skillful use of fabrics and shaping techniques – her pieces are flattering, comfortable and fluid, revealing her expert attention to detail and craftsmanship. S, she replied, “I think Nicole Richie would love my designs and they would look fab on her!”

Erika’s designs he is dedicated to ethical design philosophies, both environmentally and socially. Her clothes and accessories are a fabulous value, all handmade limited editions, none of which are produced in a sweatshop environment. All of her designs are made of materials and fabrics that are at least 90% natural.

She has created leggings in colors and styles that are sure to be a “must-have” fashion element this fall.
